Unfair Play by George & Harrison
To highlight health inequality across Eindhoven neighborhoods, the Municipality of Eindhoven commissioned George&Harrison to create Unfair Play for Dutch Design Week 2025. The studio developed a narrative installation that lets visitors experience an uneven game, mirroring disparities in the living environment and life expectancy. Working with designers and makers, George&Harrison defined a clear spatial concept and a bold yet respectful visual language, drawing on sport arena iconography to translate data into lived experience. At Ketelhuisplein, visitors received wristbands indicating constraints, encountered shifting scores and obstacles, and navigated acrylic objects that structured the exhibition. Built with De Reuringdienst and Max Lipsey, and documented by Jeroen van der Wielen, the installation sparked dialogue among citizens, designers and decision-makers. The project shows how awareness and collaboration can drive a healthier city.
